Catwalk Catchup: MFW Fendi Spring/Summer 2012

We love to layer and the Fendi catwalk is absolutely packed with layered loveliness! There's also an abundance of sheer pieces and some very interesting box-shaped bodices finding themselves on lots of the dresses. Quite a versatile collection we must say; fringe, lace, sheer, layering, acute and structured shapes and silhouettes - a  real mixed bag!

And of course, being Fendi and Milan, it was quite the star studded event both in terms of front row and runway - Carine Roitfeld was of course frow, while hot top models Anja Rubik and Natasha Poly were strutting their stuff on the catwalk for one of the most sought after fashion week gigs! (the pink star signals a Fashion Compendium favourite - look how pretty that dress is...you listening Karl Lagerfeld?)

Abbey Lee Kershaw and Lara Stone Also Cover i-D

Carine Roitfeld isn't the only fabulous cover star for i-D's 'Dream Big' issue, oh no. We also have the very gorgeous Abbey Lee Kershaw and Lara Stone to glare at. Absolutely love Abbey Lee's eyelashes - wonder where we can get a pair of them…

Carine Roitfeld Covers i-D's Dreams and Aspirations Issue

Lady Gaga isn't the only one getting photographed by Terry Richardson these days; Carine Roitfeld got in front of his lens for the cover of i-D magazine's 'the dreams and aspirations' issue. Carine is the perfect model for such a theme, wouldn't you say?

A Sneak Peek Inside Carine Roitfeld's Book

Ooo, it's like Christmas - what a treat! Vogue have only gone and leaked a few pages from Carine Roitfeld's highly anticipated book 'Irreverent' so, us being the opportunists we are, have properly indulged in them for the past 20 minutes. We are in total awe of her involvement in fashion over the years and her presence in the industry is more than evident in the few snippets of the book.

So glad this book is written in English because we all know it will be filled with little gems and (hopefully) secrets! The candid pictures are always a favourite with any book and these are no different, especially since she has an A-List photography team at her beck and call.

Carine Roitfeld by Karl Lagerfeld

Visionaire's issue #60, also known as the Religion issue features this gorgeous picture of French Vogue's ex Editor in Chief Carine Roitfeld, lensed by the one and only Karl Lagerfeld. The issue, out in June, is guest edited by Riccardo Tisci, so expect to see many a Givenchy collaboration in there.

Coming soon: Carine Roitfeld's book

If you thought Carine Roitfeld hanging up her editor-in-chief boots at French Vogue was the last you'd see of her, you were very much mistaken.

Miss Roitfeld has been a very busy bee since she resigned from French Vogue last year, and her highly anticipated book is just one of her up and coming projects.

Her 400-page book, entitled Irreverent is thought to be very image-heavy; as you can imagine, all those years at Vogue should give you quite a substantial portfolio and backlog of images, one can only dream of what goes on behind closed doors. Hopefully the book, written by Roitfeld herself with some contributions from Cathy Horyn and Anna Wintour, will let us in on a few secrets of the trade.

Irreverent is set to be released on 4 October (Amazon has already pre-ordered copies), so write it in your diaries, as we imagine it'll sell out pretty quickly.

Gisele covers French Vogue

Why is when we have one celeb fashionista on the brain, they keep appearing and make us obsess even more?Just yesterday, we wrote about Gisele Bundchen fronting the H&M campaign and doing a marvellous job of it, and now her French Vogue cover has emerged.

We were always going to be fascinated with the first French Vogue cover under the reign of new editor in chief Emmanuelle Alt since Carine Roitfeld resigned, and we can safely say that she didn't disappoint.

Both Gisele and the layout the magazine look fabulous; we can't wait to see what is inside!
