Beyonce covers November’s Harper’s Bazaar

It’s not often we say we prefer a subscriber’s cover to a newsstand one, but Beyonce’s November cover of Harper’s Bazaar is one of the rare exceptions. Maybe it’s because it’s a full-body shot and she is arguably the sexiest woman alive, we’re not entirely sure but there’s something captivating about it. 

Queen Bey flaunts her figure (obviously taken before she was visibly pregnant and not because she is wearing a fake baby bump as reports today have strangely speculated) and makes women worldwide jealous. In the interview, she talks about why she and her hubby waited so long to have a mini-Bey and Jay-Z , as well as who her style inspirations are. Hint: lots of them are British and we couldn’t be prouder!

Kate Winslet Covers Harper's Bazaar November

English mag, English rose - it all makes perfect sense. Although we don't usually see Kate with the feline eye flick favoured by the classic Hollywood greats like Brigitte Bardot and even Cleopatra, she manages to look both classic and contemporary all at the same time. And despite the heavy make-up and inevitable airbrushing, she still looks herself. Kudos to photographer Tom Munro, he's done a gorgeous job

Kim Kardashian Covers Harper's Bazaar Arabia

Flawlessness personified, wouldn't you agree? According to Kim Kardashian herself (or her blog, at least) this is her first ever magazine cover in the Middle East and this is definitely a great way to make her debut. There are lots of behind the scenes pictures on Kim's Celebuzz site showing her covered head to toe in awe-inspiring Dolce and Gabbana…cannot wait to see the end results! There's THAT yellow star print dress to look forward to; the Dolce and Gabbana star collection from their Autumn/Winter catwalk was one of our favourites of that season and we're glad to see it dominate yet another magazine editorial.

Lady Gaga For Harper's Bazaar October 2011

If these images of Lady Gaga in October's Harper's Bazaar had surfaced about a month ago, before Lady Gaga's You and I video and before we were introduced to her nymph character, we'd probably choke on our morning coffee and/or Coco Pops. But we got a taste of what Mother Monster looks like au naturel from the music video (and her corresponding fashion films) so we felt fully prepped for seeing a natural Gaga. The good folk at HB have treated us to a few teasers of what we can expect from Lady Gaga in the issue; what do you think?

Not only is she at one with nature in these shots (captured by Inez and Vinoodh), she also embraces a more vintage look in one of the pictures and we have to say we are loving it. No one can accuse Lady Gaga of not being diverse and these pictures more than prove it. Mugler main man and Gaga stylist Nicola Formichetti has once again pulled it out the bag. Snaps for Nicola!

Alexa Chung Covers Harper's Bazaar UK October 2011

Hm…I feel like we're on Alexa overload at the minute. Don't get me wrong, Alexa Chung is alright, she has great presence in the fashion world but there is such a thing as too much Alexa and it's happening right now. We were OK with seeing her new Madewell campaigns at the same time as hearing she's been named the new face of Vero Moda, as well as learning about her new fashion host gig. We were even OK with Alexa appearing on the Australian cover of the very same magazine for the very same month…but that's where it ends. 

We're going to have to introduce an Alexa ban for a few weeks or at least days after this post. Having said that, we do like the HB covers - the subscriber's edition is so much better though as it's more arty farty which suits Alexa's style more than just a headshot. Plus - she has a great body so it's nice to see it in all its glory. Anyway, you can see them both above to make your own minds up.

Britney Spears covers Harpers Bazaar June/July

It feels like the late nineties/early noughties all over again; Britney Spears adorning magazine covers left right and centre, with the look of fresh faced childhood innocence. If you leave the tabloids out of it, nothing much appears to have changed over the years if this cover is anything to go by. She still has that perfect Hollywood smile, gorgeous long blonde locks, and the world is still obsessed with her every move. We've been Britney lovers from the start, and the fact that the world still can't get enough of her fills us with pride. Alex Lubomirski did a fine job at photographing the original princess of pop. We wait with baited breath to see what the editorial images look like.

Such a gorgeous image to advertise summer isn't it. Photographed by Camilla Akrans, this front cover is simple, chic and glorifies the season we love best.

Daily Style Crush: Beyonce

Does 'wow' even begin to cover this picture? Beyonce glammed up the balcony of the Hotel Ritz, on what is believed to be a photoshoot for Harper's Bazaar. Show of hands for those who cannot wait to see the finished product…

Kate Moss in the UK's Harper's Bazaar

Just because we are loving Alexander McQueen even more than usual these days in the run up to the opening of the McQueen exhibit at the Met, and believe it or not, it's been a while since Kate Moss featured on the blog. We showed you two of the front covers for the Harper's Bazaar UK May issue with Miss Kate Moss modelling the iconic McQueen dress which was made famous in the hologram, so now we decided to reveal some of what's inside the wonderful issue of the magazine. 

Lady Gaga is Harper's Bazaar's May cover star

Harper's Bazaar are making the one and only Lady Gaga their May cover star. Earlier today, they revealed some sneaky images to tease us with, and we are substantially excited and awaiting the release of the magazine to see more pictures and read the article in its entirety. 

Terry Richardson is the lucky man behind the camera lens, and once again shoots the singer in a series of powerful and seductive images. Nice to see the facial prosthetics are back; and we love the new hair colour too - fabulous!

Kate Moss digs out her famous McQueen dress for Harper's Bazaar cover

Officially out today, the front cover of the UK's Harper's Bazaar features Kate Moss (yes another Kate Moss story, but we can't help it, the woman's a legend!) in the dress made famous when she appeared as a hologram on the Alexander McQueen Runway back in 2006. Don't believe us? Take a look at the video for yourself.
