What Rachel Zoe Needed ALL That Luggage For (in her own words)

A few weeks ago, Rachel Zoe tweeted a picture of a luggage trolley containing no more and no less than 13 suitcases, which she was taking to Paris with her for fashion week. She jokingly said that she wasn't going to live it down for a long time, but she tried to clear her name in an interview with US InStyle. She said: “I was basically gone from Los Angeles for five weeks. I was in New York for two weeks, London for a week and a half and Paris for a week and a half. So, it’s all different climates. It’s a lot of stuff.”

Not to mention, she had baby Skyler to pack for too: “He had all his clothes, too. He changes two or three times a day. I mean, there’s spit up involved. You have to have changes on hand.”

Well there you have it!

Catwalk Catchup: PFW Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2012

We should technically say Presentation Catch-up, but that doesn't quite roll of the tongue in the same way. We weren't disappointed with the Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2012 presentation, even though there was a teeny tiny part of us that was relatively sceptical. Sarah Burton stayed true to the brand and the man himself; there were lots of bird-inspired pieces which we have a sneaky feeling is a tribute to the late designer, as he was famously obsessed with the creatures.

A versatile, classic collection that captures the essence of the brand perfectly!

Catwalk Catchup: PFW Chanel Spring/Summer 2012

No Fashion Week review would be complete without mentioning Chanel. Their Spring/Summer 2012 offering at Paris Fashion Week was a sea (literally) of magic! It was an underwater fantasy complete with the hottest models in the biz and one Miss Florence Welch singing to the crowd from a shell…true story.

Karl Lagerfeld was keen to mix it up a little this season, opting to step outside the box and create a collection that wasn't "very Chanel". Why? Because Kaiser Karl so rightly mentioned that Chanel's style is being done by many other designers.
What do you think?

Watch Louis Vuitton's S/S PFW Show, Complete With Kate Moss & Carousel

The music sends a shiver down our spines! Kate Moss was on hand to make sure the show went out with an almighty bang, as she sat atop a horse on the carousel and pouted her lips Mossy-style.

Catwalk Catchup: PFW Viktor & Rolf Spring/Summer 2012

Paris Fashion Week got off to a slow start but we definitely got what we bargained for as far as the weekend's shows were concerned. There were so many collections to keep track of we almost (notice how we said almost) regretted wishing for more.

Viktor & Rolf truly captured the essence of a Spring/Summer show in terms of the outfits themselves, the styling and the show as a whole. Bold colours, vivid prints, cute silhouettes - they were all there. Plus, any catwalk that features Miranda Kerr instantly gets a head start. Definitely one of our favourite collections; can you blame us?

Catwalk Catchup: PFW Balmain Spring/Summer 2012

Balmain got a whole lot girlier this season and we are loving it! Balmain got a bit grungy these past few seasons and although we liked the edginess, we're glad its back to doing what we think it does best. Heavy detailing, sharp structuring and fine embellishment aplenty, this is the Balmain we know and love. And with the new diffusion line coming out, we think it's about time the line went back to its roots.

Paris Fashion Week got off to a mediocre start, hence the lack of posting (we only comment on what we utterly adore) but the Balmain show alone more than makes up for it. Just like the white and gold goddess inspired outfits, this collection was heaven sent and we genuinely can't flaw a single piece. Plus, some of our favourite models were strutting their stuff on the runway, including Abbey Lee Kershaw (naturally), Freja Beha Erichsen, Anja Rubik, Natasha Poly and Arizona Muse.

We think this might be the new Dolce and Gabbana star obsession for all the magazines…and we bet the celebs are already forming a disorderly queue to be the first ones to be draped in the outfits.

Catwalk Catchup: PFW Mugler Spring/Summer 2012

After all the hype from Nicola Formichetti surrounding Lady Gaga's involvement in the show, we were expecting fireworks and as far as Gaga history goes, the unexpected. But we were actually expecting her to show up on the catwalk…which she didn't. We were surprised with her absence, but there was, as promised, a short film featuring the superstar. Gaga said: "I am a Mugler woman; don't f*** with me. Don't f*** with Mugler. Welcome to Paris; we are Paris." Check it out, above!

Gagaloo aside, the collection was interesting. We think it was a bit safe…maybe not for most clothing lines, but for Mugler under Formichetti's direction, it was a lot tamer than we expected. Still, there were provocative pieces with cut-out features in abundance and lots of body parts were exposed, so it wasn't completely alien to what Mugler is used to.

Check Out The Dress Made From 3,000 Cow Nipples

Lady Gaga's meat dress, eat your heart out, there's a new 'most controversial dress around. Check out the dress made from 3,000 cow nipples…it was made by British designer Rachel Freire and made its runway debut at London Fashion Week. The dress, along with the rest of the 'Nippleocalypse' Spring/Summer 2012 collection, is now on its merry way to France to strut down the Paris Fashion Week catwalk…what do you reckon the Parisians will make of it?

Nicola Formichetti Will Unveil Gaga Film At PFW

Exciting, isn't it? Mugler main man and Gaga stylist Nicola Formichetti will be using his Paris Fashion Week womenswear show on Thursday as a platform to unveil a never before seen video of Lady Gaga. The film was directed by Inez and Vinoodh, as were Gaga's 'fashion videos' for 'You and I' and will feature a brand new remix of one of her current songs (no word on which one yet.)

Apparently it isn't the only thing Formichetti has up his sleeve and although that's all we seem to know at the moment, he will be releasing teasers on social networking sites over the next few days, so keep your eyes peeled. We do also know that Lady Gaga has ordered a set of marquise diamonds for her teeth, so we know to expect the unexpected!

The new Karl Lagerfeld Diet Coke ad campaigns

You'd have to have been living under a rock for the past few weeks to not know about Karl Lagerfeld's collaboration with Diet Coke since it transpired that he lost a lot of weight by sticking to a diet of vegetables and Diet Coke.

The new designs of the bottles popped up on the internet a few weeks ago, but now the official campaigns have emerged. Uncle Karl went to none other than Paris to officially launch the product, with a very gorgeous Lily Cole offering her moral support. We are glad to see her back to her natural hair colour too - very bright and fitting for summer.

Gorgeous bracelets from London label Elkin

We always love indulging in new brands, and this luscious jewellery label which goes by the name of Elkin is no exception. If you think you've seen some of their pieces before, it may be because they adorned the French catwalks during many shows at Paris Fashion Week!

The brand was launched by a stylist based in London, and every single bracelet is handmade, and available in both men's and women's sizes.

They come in all sorts of styles and textures, meaning they can be worn for every season - the brights are perfect for summer and the bolder, darker shades would make a perfect addition to a winter outfit.

Julian Louie for Aldo

The fashion weeks around the world were obsessed with Julian Louie, and now the very same shoes that paraded up and down the New York runway will be making their way to Aldo.

Here's a first look at what's to come:

The collection is set to launch at some point this month, so keep checking back for more details as and when we have them.

Catwalk Catchup: Vivienne Westwood A/W 2011 RTW

The latest catwalk instalment from the great Dame was utterly fabulous, and we're a little bit gutted that every not single one of the British designer's creations is showcased in her homeland. She did however act as a perfect ambassador for Britain, and gave French designers a run for their money with her spectacular display, which wasn't just limited to clothes.

As if the outfits weren't enough to shock and wow the crowd, the designer made sure that every model had unique, theatric make-up on, which gave the show the final Vivienne Westwood touch.

The gold, sparkly runway was an extra glittering bonus!

Catwalk Catchup: Azzaro A/W 2011 RTW

Most of the outfits may appear to be monochrome, but the collection is anything but bland. It's frills and spills galore, in this cute and flirty assortment. Here are some of our favourite pieces:

(The white dress with the black rim detailing is definitely the highlight of the collection as it makes several appearances in different variations: versatile and gorgeous.)
