Kelly Rowland Covers Runway's 'Fall' Issue

Here's the latest cover of Runway magazine featuring the lady who is without a doubt our favourite X Factor judge. She's looking fiercer than ever and she looks like she means business - the other judges better watch out when it comes to the live shows and Kelly has her category to mentor. By the way, the piece Kelly's wearing on the cover is by The Blonds and yes, we are lusting after it too, you aren't the only ones!

Martha Streck and Joan Smalls for Gucci A/W 2011

We're a little bit jealous of a certain Miss Joan Smalls these days; not only did she strike a few poses with the gorgeous Mr Bruno Mars in Vogue, but now she is dressed head to toe in some of the finest pieces from the Gucci A/W 2011 collection. Some girls just have it all, don't they! 

The tailoring of the A/W collection is rather magnificent; the majority of it oozes class and sophistication which is the impression we got from the runway, and seeing it in catalogue form is making us fall in love with it all over again. Although we adore the elegance of the formal dresses below, the hints of menswear are what make the collection stand out for us. Last season was all about the boys with the boyfriend jeans and cardis, but this season it's all about the men - classic menswear pieces and silhouettes make for a much more demure and business-savvy collection. Well, Gucci always do mean business!

Catwalk catch-up: Chanel A/W 2011 RTW

Dark and sensual; that was the theme that Karl Lagerfeld ran with for the latest Chanel catwalk outing. The volcano which graced the runway was also a haunting touch which encapsulated the aura of the collection spectacularly. The show was chilling enough from the pictures, we can only imagine that sitting Front Row would have heightened the chill-factor even more. We would happily give a right arm to have witnessed the live action though. 

Still, it's nice to see Lagerfeld going with the theme of winter, which many designers have dismissed this season. Chanel went with the theme of ice last year which also screamed winter, but so did the volcano - it was anything but smoking hot. Grunge, oversized, man-size and neo-medieval are all words which complement the collection. The palette was predominantly dark and smokey, but were finely crafted and brilliantly put together.

Our one and only criticism? We absolutely love how some heels are being replaced with biker boots, but they are hugely disproportionate in relation to the legs of some of the models - perhaps skinny jeans and grunge boots aren't the best option when you have the figure of a runway model. Still, if we had the height of runway models, the inability to wear oversized boots wouldn't be the end of our world. 

Thank you uncle Karl for another fabulous collection; they just keep getting better!
