What did Blake Lively spend $15,000 on?

Poor Blake Lively (although not literally)… fresh from splitting up with Leonardo DiCaprio, the Gossip Girl beauty treated herself to a shopping session at the Edit Boutique on the Upper East Side in NYC. Sounds very Serena Van Der Woodsen, doesn’t it?

Apparently, Blake splashed out on two Proenza Schouler bags (tres jalouse), Fendi booties and a few pieces from Isabel Marant. No biggie, obviously.

If life after Leo is this stylish, maybe he should break up with women more often...

My Take on the Proenza Schouler Intern 'Horror Story'

There's an 'intern horror story' circulating the web about a Proenza Schouler intern being rushed half way around the world to pick up some fabric. I get that a long plane journey from New York to Italy can be long and tiring and definitely a huge step up from the usual intern duties of filing and making coffee. I also get that having to make the same journey back almost instantly without setting foot on Italian soil is a bit disheartening since you've come all that way, but it isn't the end of the world surely? Not when you're working with such a prestigious brand in the industry?

If I left my house on my merry way to my internship in the morning and found out that I got to jetset half way across the world, I'd be pretty chuffed. Sure it would mean that the rules of a regular 9-5 go out the window, but the way I see it, the intern just embarked on a little piece of history. Think of the satisfaction she will get when she sees the fabric being used on the runway. Plus, there's something very Devil Wears Prada about it and that can only be a good thing, no? Ok, maybe the guys at PS could have let her explore Italy for an hour but fashion waits for no one. Especially since the NYFW schedule is tighter and busier than ever due to Hurricane Irene holding a lot of plans back. I guess if the intern hated flying and was then expected to do a ten hour shift as soon as she touched down there would be some cause for concern, but we don't know the full story.

For all we know, she could have been in first class sipping champagne and strawberries and watching in-flight movies. There's not a lot she could have done on the plane anyway apart from have some much needed chill time. From all the accounts of this story I've heard, I'm beginning to think I'm the only one. Does anyone agree with me?

Just in at Proenza Schouler

We stumbled upon these two gorgeous bags that have just come in on the Proenza Schouler website. They incorporate three of our favourite obsessions right now; satchel style bags, anything camel coloured, and anything bright and vibrant.

Check them out at proenzaschouler.com
