Princess Beatrice's infamous wedding hat sold on eBay

Whether Philip Treacy genuinely thought it was a finely crafted masterpiece, or was in cahoots with Fergie in a small bid to upstage the royal couple as payback for her not being invited to the wedding, the hat (along with Pippa Middleton's derrière, naturally) generated the most amount of media attention and column inches once the initial excitement over Kate Middleton's dress had surpassed.

Fergie revealed on Oprah that her daughter will be auctioning off her hat in a bid to raise money for UNICEF. The bookies are also getting in on the action, as William Hill are encouraging punters to bet on how much it will raise. Dragon Duncan Bannatyne started off the bidding at £5,000, but has since gone up to £6,639 with a total of 17 bids. There's still eight days to go, so this has the potential to raise a staggering amount for charity.

Keep an eye on the eBay auction here.
