Daily Style Crush: Lady McCartney Nancy Shevell in Stella McCartney
Even though we were majorly crushing on all the outfits worn by the X Factor judges this weekend, we have to say that Nancy Shevell’s bridal outfit pipped them to the post ever so slightly. And how nice is it that Stella McCartney designed and custom-made her step-mum’s wedding outfit as well as her father’s? The happy couple looked blissfully happy as they emerged from Marylebone Town Hall in London after having a low-key wedding ceremony and we wish them a lifetime of happiness together!

Rihanna and Kylie Galavanting Around the UK
Although she was accompanied by an entourage and bodyguards, Rihanna swiped her very own Oyster card at the tube barriers, as she travelled underground to her very own concert at the O2. Naturally, Twitter went mad and we even got pictures for proof. The above pic is courtesy of Lisa Marie O'Keeffe, via Twitter. Those are some very lucky people! And for those of you who can never get a seat during rush hour, you're not alone - Rihanna was made to stand too!
Elsewhere in the UK, a newly brunette Kylie Minogue travelled to Essex and was given an honorary Doctor of Health Science award, in recognition of her work for breast cancer awareness. She even gracefully signed autographs for adoring fans - what a sweetheart!

Is Britney's Criminal Video Too Reminiscent of the Recent Riots?
You may be aware by now that the one and only Miss Britney Spears is on England soil to shoot the music video to her next single, Criminal. However, Britters has been seen wandering the streets of London (well, her music video set) with a prop gun, which Hackney council say is insensitive due to the riots that affected England a few months ago.
Ian Rathbone of Hackney council said, "I think she should apologise and make a sizeable donation to a Hackney charity that deals with young people... for the rudeness and damage she's done to this community."
As disgraceful as we think the riots were, we don't really think a blonde, American pop star had anything to do with them and we're pretty sure the people of London and all those who watch her music video will feel the same way as the council. Luckily, Britney's 'people' weren't scared off and the filming of the video was resumed. There's nothing like a bit of controversy surrounding a music video…now we're anticipating its debut more than ever.

See Kate Moss's Rimmel Collection Ad Campaigns
Check out some of the print ads for Kate Moss's personally designed Rimmel collection. You've seen pics of the products and a video, so now it's print ad time!
Instead of getting her beauty sleep in preparation for London Fashion Week, on September 15th Kate Moss and some of her celeb pals and fellow Rimmel ambassadors are expected to hotfoot it to Battersea Power Station to celebrate the official launch of 'The Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick Collection' - to use its full name. Kate's been the face of Rimmel for ten years and this is the first collection she's personally designed.
Georgia May Jagger and Solange Knowles are among the celebs and Rimmel girls expected to turn up and support Mossy. Don't expect to keep an eye out for Kate's limo so you can get a cheeky pic, because the lady in question is arriving by helicopter. That's right - helicopter!
What we wouldn't give to be on that party guest list…

Daily Style Crush: Charlize Theron in Roland Mouret
We're on a bit of a Charlize Theron high after being left speechless at her latest Dior J'adore commercial and this look didn't let us down. The Hollywood babe took to a drizzly red carpet in London (where else?!) for the GQ Men of the Year awards but clearly it was all about the women - namely her! Although she didn't bring the sun with her, Charlize definitely brought the glamour in her Roland Mouret number fresh from their A/W 2011 catwalk. Whoever said you have to be in a dress to exude glamour and sophistication simply needs to take one look at Charlize and frantically eat their words. She got everything right; adapting the catwalk ensemble to suit her and accessorising flawlessly.

See, this is why it's all about London! This video recognises 100 years of London fashion and was made by the geniuses at Westfield to mark the opening of their brand new Stratford store. Its grand opening it September 13th - put it in your diaries.
Ps: why has the fashion world gone dance crazy this month? Anna Dello Russo, Raquel Zimmerman and Karen Elson for Lanvin and now this...can't say we are complaining though. Makes the days go just that little bit quicker!

There's No Place Like Home
So, I've been away for a few months - three to be exact. Be it travelling the world, finding myself, exploring the seven seas or all the cliches under the sun, the important thing is I'm back and hungrier for fashion than ever. I've seen a lot over the past few months; what is it they say? You don't know what you've got until it's gone? I prefer Dorothy's philosophy on life - there's no place like home.
In my absence I've discovered that Paris, Milan and New York all great but it's London that has a firm grip on my heart. Why else would it have been named the fashion capital of the world? This is the spiritual home of the Duchess of Cambridge and Alexander McQueen - two fashion icons of legendary status.
Yes we had those pesky riots but if we brush them under the carpet, London's pretty alright. And I couldn't be happier to be back :)

Christopher Kane revamps London Taxis
Londoners, keep a beady eye out for these babies. One hundred taxis have been given the Christopher Kane treatment, which come complete with their own mobile phone chargers inside, and the classic Kane 'celestial print' from the 2011 Resort collection on the front so you can recognise them. The bigger picture is a sponsorship deal between Christopher Kane and Vodafone; passengers can even pay for their journey using their mobile phone. Well, it has us talking, and we'd love to hail one of these beauties down. Let us know if you've seen, or better yet, been in one of the Kane-cabs.

Nicholas Kirkwood opens London Mayfair store
Yep, you read correctly, London's Mayfair is getting its very own Nicholas Kirkwood stand-alone store and it's opening THIS Friday. Excited much? Nicholas Kirkwood told British Vogue that he is most excited about being able to do his own show, which is something he never had the chance to do before.
The store will be housed next to shoe-lovers' favourites Christian Louboutin, as well as Marc Jacobs, with Kirkwood telling Vogue that he couldn't have asked for a better spot. The store will not only feature the shoes from the latest Spring/Summer collection, but will also sell items from their collaboration with Swarovski (earrings, rings to name but a few.)
This is only the beginning for Nicholas Kirkwood, as his next move is said to be in New York, with Hong Kong and Dubai also potentially in the works.

Anonymous by Ross+Bute open new West End store
Oh how we adore homegrown designers! British womenswear brand Anonymous by Ross+Bute are opening another London store, this time taking their talents to a beautiful 17th Century listed building in Thayer Street (near Marylebone High Street.)
Some of the signature styles in their Spring/Summer collection include lace trims, sailor-inspired knits, beautiful buttons and just general stylish items for both casual and formal occasions which are easy to wear but leave a fabulous lasting impression.
The decor of the new store is just as meticulously thought out and structured as the clothes themselves; a gorgeous chandelier as the centrepiece, glass shelves, olive trees outside…it seems to have everything covered!
Definitely well worth a visit for both existing customers and newbies.
