We know it's all about Wills and Kate these days, but back in 1985, clearly the greatest royal double act was Prince William and his baby brother Harry. Watching this video has actually made us a teeny bit weepy; bless them! Check out Princess Diana as well - never a moment where she isn't elegant and gorgeous. Do you think they should have pursued a career in music?

Wills and Kate Open Cancer Ward At The Royal Marsden
Even though they've been galavanting across America and Canada, believe it or not this is the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's first 'official' duty. You wouldn't think it though, they appeared to handle it so effortlessly; from what we read, they were naturals with the children at the Royal Marsden Hospital and it looks like everyone was thrilled to have them there.
Kate Middleton didn't wear her newest Topshop purchases mind, instead choosing a £450 Amanda Wakeley felt dress for the occasion. She looked the vision of loveliness, almost angelic actually, with her hair immaculately shiny and bouncy as is expected.

The Official Royal Wedding portraits
The Royal Wedding through Twitter
We honestly don't think there was a single non-wedding-related tweet during the service which really emphasised British national pride and global interest in the wedding of the century.
The Royal Wedding through UK front pages
What a better image for the front page of a newspaper than the Royal kiss on the balcony? It was such a memorable moment that nearly all of the main newspapers featured it on their front page. And quite rightly so.
Fashion Compendium's Royal Wedding Round-up
Unless you've been living under layer upon layer of rocks, you will have without a doubt had your Royal Wedding fix already. The tweets, the status updates, texts, phone calls, websites, newspapers, blogs, the lot. So instead of bulks of endless text about the wedding (which, don't get us wrong, we would quite happily do without a single complaint) we've decided to round it up in a Fashion Compendium nutshell. (But we'd just like to point out that catching a glimpse of Kate Middleton's Sarah Burton for McQueen dress for the first time is a moment that will stay with us forever - we squealed with excitement with what we presume was with the rest of the world. But we digress...)
Here's a look at our favourite wedding guests outfits. We don't know why Victoria Beckham was so worried, we thought she was one of the best dressed guests there in her dark blue dress from her latest collection. The Queen rocked up in a lovely yellow outfit which was perfect for the weather and the glorious occasion.

Congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. We join the world in wishing them a lifetime of happiness together!

Happy Royal Wedding Day
Whilst I won't be blogging about the event as it happens, my Blackberry will remain a permanent fixture in my hand, and I will be tweeting live throughout the day. Our Twitter name is @fashcompendium if you don't follow us already. I'll be looking forward to hearing all of your opinions about the all-important dress and every other little detail.
Be sure to visit throughout the rest of the Bank Holiday weekend when we will have given the blog a royal update and have the essential lowdown on what promises to be the wedding of the century.
Enjoy Friday - and of course, congrats to Wills and Kate!
Brand new picture of Prince William and Kate Middleton released
There’s less than 24 hours to go until the Royal Wedding, and to add to the hype and excitement of the nation, a brand new picture of Prince William and Kate Middleton has been released.
The black and white photo was shot by none other than Mario Testino, the man behind the lens for the couple’s official engagement pictures. The ‘informal picture' was always our favourite of the two (an opinion shared by many), and this photograph is of the same nature: casual, fun, and most importantly, depicting love and happiness. The couple genuinely look like your average loved-up couple who cant wait to embark upon a new adventure and start their new life together as husband and wife.

Kate Middleton covers Newsweek
In a world full of provocative poses, airbrushing a-plenty and designer label madness, it's so nice and refreshing to see such a natural, fuss-free front cover. And the fact that it's from Kate Middleton just makes it even sweeter!

British Vogue's Royal Wedding Special May edition
And speaking of Natalia Vodianova, she is lending her face to the one and only Vogue for one of their May covers in celebration of the Royal Wedding. Mario Testino shot Ms Vodianiva, as well as Lara Stone and Freja Beha Erichsen for three individual commemorative covers of UK Vogue, all of course with a wedding theme.

The Royal Wedding Oyster Card...
One more..this will be the last Royal Wedding post for at least 24 hours. We (will try to) promise. On the way home today, this caught my eye whilst flicking through The Evening Standard. The Royal Wedding Oyster Card will be available to buy in the week leading up to the big day, but there are only 750,000 available.
The cards are estimated to rake in between £3.5million and £7.5million for TFL. Not too shabby.
Will you be getting one?
Princess Diana's 'back-up dress' revealed
And whilst we're on the subject of royal weddings...This picture shows designer Elizabeth Emmanuel with a sketch of Princess Diana's original wedding dress, the one she wore on the big day. But, it transpires that the designer had another one on standby, in case the Princess's dress was revealed to the media before the actual wedding.
We wonder if Kate Middleton's mystery designer will do the same…
Harvey Nichols gives you a royal tea invitation
For those of us not on the Royal Wedding guest list that want to celebrate the big occasion with an event of our own, perhaps this afternoon tea with Harvey Nichols is the way forward.
For £30 each, those in attendance will not only get a fantastic afternoon of eating sandwiches and scrummy baked goods (cakes, scones, you name it), but they can get their hands on the hilarious but must-have mug for free (RRP £20)
If this sounds like your cup of tea (yes, we made the obvious tea pun, we couldn't help ourselves..), then get on the Harvey Nichols website or get in contact with your nearest store for further details.

Another Royal Wedding Update
Not content with giving you one Royal Wedding blog post yesterday, we're giving you one today as well. The Big Day is getting closer and closer after all, and us bloggers are celebrating the only way we know how. According to Vogue, Prince William and Kate Middleton's first journey as a married couple will be in the 1902 State Landau carriage the Prince's parents were carried in after their 1981 wedding.

Kate Middleton's see-through dress sells for £65K
The see-through dress which is said to have heightened Prince William's interest in his future bride was sold to an unidentified bidder at a London auction yesterday.
The bidder paid £65,000 for the dress which Miss Middleton wore down a charity university catwalk in 2002.
Congratulations to the buyer, they not only have a priceless fashion staple, but a true iconic piece of British history in their hands.
