Burberry Brit April Showers Collection

We thought we'd give it a few days before we went on another massive Burberry blogging frenzy. Fresh from the Burberry Brit Beijing...what can only be described as an extravaganza, is the April Showers collection. From trademark Burberry print umbrellas to waterproof boots and generally stunning outerwear, the collection had a little bit of everything suitable for the British weather. 

Cara Delevingne models one of the clear stand-out pieces from the collection; a gorgeous red trench coat. So gorgeous one might even go as far as wishing rain upon the the country just so they can wear it. We said 'might'.

It seems that Burberry have a lot to celebrate this week. Not only are they opening their first ever UK Burberry Brit store in London's Covent Garden on the 15th, but they are hosting what could be their biggest live event tomorrow. The huge runway presentation will be staged at Beijing's Television Center and will feature British band Keane with their first ever performance in China. Burberry say the show will feature life-like holograms, great fashion, top models and even a celebration of the British weather, which, given the last few days, could be anything!

Burberry have been known to generate a huge amount of media attention for their shows, for example, streaming their LFW show live (including in the streets of London for all to see!)

It will be streamed globally on burberry.com so every fashionista can be part of the experience. Hurrah!

Burberry Brit opens in Covent Garden this week

Burberry Brit is opening its first ever UK store this week,  which will be situated in the prime location of London's Covent Garden. 

The minds behind the Burberry store aim to make it more than just a store/shopping experience, and the shop will be kitted out with iPod docks for shoppers to control the tunes, and a video wall, which will showcase the current trends straight from Burberry HQ. There will also be live music performances in-store to really optimise the shopping experience and set it apart from the the rest. 

The shop will stock womenswear, menswear, eyewear, watches and fragrances. It officially opens its doors on April 15.
