Annie Leibovitz creates pure Disney magic

It’s no secret that fashion is just another form of art/a way in which one expresses oneself.

Annie Leibovitz is one of the most profound and downright brilliant artists of the 21st century, and her photographs are nothing short of masterpieces. Her latest works feature a host of celebrities replicating famous Disney characters for the promotion of the Disney Parks. It’s safe to say that they have left us truly mesmerised – this interpretation of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast in particular.

If the image of a Disney princess in her Prince Charming’s embrace against a gorgeously haunting backdrop isn’t enough, the fact that the ‘beauty’ in question is Penelope Cruz makes it that much better..and her prince (who takes the shape of Jeff Bridges) is no beast either!

Olivia Wilde’s representation of the wicked queen from Snow White is as poignant as it is uncanny. Queen Latifah’s meticulous depiction of evil sea queen Ursula from the Little Mermaid is also a huge highlight of Leibovitz’s new selection.

A true work of art.
